(April 7, 2010) A decade ago the Internet was still in its infancy, while ways to use it for personality promotion and radio station hype hadn’t yet been realized. KBIG 104 (now MY/fm) morning personality Leigh Ann Adam (co-hosted with Charlie Tuna) was expecting her first child. It seemed quite a logical thing to have lasik eye surgery performed in order to endorse the doctor and the procedure, but would Leigh Ann allow the birthing procedure to be carried live?

KBIG's Leigh Ann and Charlie announced yesterday that the new law banning cell phone usage and smoking while driving went into effect. Most of the callers they put on the air bought it and they were very upset at the new law.

Leigh Ann was the focal point of a major national promotion that garnered KBIG huge publicity. In the spring of 2000, Leigh gave birth to her new baby with the world watching on a KBIG web cam that was hooked up to the Internet.
